Aksu City, Xinjiang: Achieving Zero Breakthrough in Oil and Gas Exploration and Development

The Hong-11 well is located in the Horticultural 13th Branch of Hongqipo Farm in Aksu City. It is a high-risk exploration well in the middle section of the F1 fault zone in the Wensu block of Zhongman Oil and Gas Company. On April 5th, it conducted oil testing, and on April 28th, it obtained a daily gas production of 43674 cubic meters through oil testing in the weathered crust formation of Qianshan.

Li Xuesong, Deputy General Manager of Aksu Zhongman Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Co., Ltd., said: "In April, a perforation test was conducted on the well, which perforated the 13 meter layer of the weathered crust. The oil well was self flowing. The initial pressure was 12 megapascals, and we used 4-8 millimeter nozzles to calculate production. The highest daily gas production was 46300 cubic meters. The successful gas test of the Hong11 well also indicates that the interruption of the F1 fault zone in the Wensu block has abundant natural gas reserves and good development prospects. ”

The Red 11 well started drilling on December 6, 2019 and was completed on January 6, 2020, with a drilling depth of 2250 meters. The logging interpretation of the entire well includes 8 layers of 11 meters of oil layers, 4 layers of 35.2 meters of oil and gas layers, 3 layers of 3.9 meters of water bearing oil layers, 1 layer of 2.4 meters of oil-water layer, and 4 layers of 12.4 meters of oil and gas layers, indicating active oil and gas display.

The next step is to deploy the Hong26 well in the area and further evaluate the oil and gas status of the area. In 2020, it is planned to deploy 15 exploration wells within the jurisdiction of Aksu City, with a planned investment of one billion yuan, and initially build an annual oil and gas production capacity of 20000 tons, making contributions to the economic and social development of Aksu City, "said Li Xuesong.

From January to April 2020, Aksu Zhongman Oil and Gas Company completed drilling 8 wells. Currently, there are 16 normal oil testing and production wells, with a daily production of 130 tons of crude oil and an annual cumulative production of 10900 tons of crude oil. This has laid a solid foundation for accelerating the development of oil and gas resources in Wensu County and Aksu City.
